Ajay Bhardwaj

Chairman and managing director of biotech company Anthem Biosciences which he cofounded in 2006 in Bangalore.

Anthem Biosciences is involved in drug discovery and development as well as contract manufacturing of specialised ingredients such as enzymes and peptides for pharma and biotech companies.

Anthem went public in Juiy 2025 and its stock was listed at a 27% premium to the issue price.

Bhardwaj has four decades of experience in the life sciences sector, including a long stint as president at fellow billionaire Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw's Biocon.

His son Ishaan works at the company as a vice president.
