Biography
Alexander Isaev derives his fortune from Elga, the largest coking coal mine in Russia with about 2.2 billion tonnes of reserves.
In 2021, he and his business partner, Albert Avdolyan, a fellow billionaire who owns the lion's share of Elga, bought coal producer Sibanthracite and later sold it, earning a combined $1 billion.
