Biography

Alexandre Behring is a co-founder and partner in private equity firm 3G Capital, best known for its investments in Anheuser-Busch InBev and Restaurant Brands International, parent of Burger King and Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons.

Behring's billionaire partners in 3G include fellow Brazilians Jorge Paulo Lemann, Marcel Telles and Carlos Alberto Sicupira.

He joined the Forbes Billionaires list in 2020 and is a well-known figure in the private equity world. His Behring Foundation, which is based in Brazil, focuses on youth development, education and technology.

In 2016 AB InBev completed its nearly $100 billion acquisition of SABMiller, acquiring brands including Pilsner Urquell and Foster's Lager. In 2024, it sold its stake in U.S. condiment maker Kraft-Heinz after 11 years.

In 2025, 3G paid more than $4 billion to acquire 75% of Dutch window shade company Hunter Douglas, and $9.4 billion for U.S sneaker brand Skechers.
