Thai property tycoon Anant Asavabhokin's biggest asset is a stake in SET-listed Land And Houses.
He founded the company with his mother, Piangjai Harnpanij, in 1983. The company is known for its focus on detached houses.
In 2021, the company acquired SpringHill Suites by Marriott, a 120-rooom hotel in California for $31 million.
In March 2024, the company acquired the 176-room Residence Inn Manhattan Beach, a hotel in Los Angeles, near Disneyland, for $68 million.
