Biography
Anatoly Skurov's fortune stems from the sale of his stakes in coal producer Sibuglemet and fertilizer maker Uralkali, which is traded in Moscow.
He is a former designer of Soviet machine-building factories and worked for the state-owned coal producer Rosugol, where he took part in the reform of the Russian coal industry.
In 1995, with Vladimir Melnichenko and Valentin Bukhtoyarov, both former billionaires, he founded the coal producer Sibuglemet.
In 2017 Skurov started coal mining project Uvalnaya, which produces more than 6 million tons of coal annually.
