Biography
Antonio Marcegaglia is the CEO and chairman of Marcegaglia, one of Italy's largest steel manufacturers and the world's largest maker of welded tubes.
He owns half of the company, with the other half owned by his sister Emma; the siblings took over after the death of their father Steno in 2013.
Steno founded the company in 1959 in the northern Italian city of Mantua and grew it into a multinational firm with operations on multiple continents.
Marcegaglia processes 6.2 million tons of steel a year and posted $6.6 billion in sales in 2019.
