Biography
Arash Ferdowsi is a cofounder of Dropbox, a file sharing and storage service that has more than 500 million users.
Ferdowsi launched Dropbox in 2007 while he was still a student at MIT, with MIT graduate Drew Houston, who is the CEO.
The company went public in March 2018; shares jumped on the first day of trading.
Ferdowsi, who formerly served as the company's chief technology officer, owns a nearly 10% stake in the company.

He and cofounder Drew Houston turned down an acquisition offer from Apple's Steve Jobs in 2009.
Ferdowsi is the son of Iranian refugees.
