Biography
Hu Baifan chairs Shenzhen-listed Zhejiang NHU, one of the world's largest producers of vitamins A and E.
After graduation from college in 1982, Hu spent six years teaching chemistry at a remote vocational school in China.
With money borrowed from his fellow teachers, Hu started a workshop in 1988 to make industrial ethanol from leftover materials from other factories.
