Biography

Brian Lawson is a vice chair of Brookfield, a Toronto-based alternative investment firm with $1 trillion in assets under management.

Lawson joined Brookfield in 1988, when it was called Brascan, and served as the firm's CFO from 2002 to 2020.

Lawson began his career as an accountant at Touche Ross, a predecessor to Deloitte.

His family's foundation supports nutrition research and established the University of Toronto's Joannah & Brian Lawson Centre for Child Nutrition.
