Carol Jenkins Barnett is the daughter of Publix supermarket founder George Jenkins and an heir to the Florida-based fortune.

Publix, founded in 1930, employs 200,000 people in 1,222 stores across seven states and has revenues of over $36.1 billion.

She owns a minority stake in the business, which is the largest employee-owned grocery chain in the U.S.
