Biography
Cho Jyh-jer retired as vice chairman at smartphone chipmaker MediaTek in 2015.
He joined the firm as its president in 1997, when it was spun off from his then employer, United Microelectronics.
The bulk of his wealth comes from his stake in MediaTek.
