Biography
Chung Mong-joon is the largest shareholder of shipbuilder HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.
He is the sixth son of the late Hyundai group founder Chung Ju-yung, who got his start repairing trucks for the U.S. Army after the Korean War.
Chung ran HD Hyundai Heavy Industries until he entered politics in 1988; he served seven terms in the National Assembly.
