Biography
David Zalik is the cofounder and former CEO of financial technology company GreenSky, which Goldman Sachs acquired in an all-stock transaction worth about $2.2 billion in 2022.
Goldman sold GreenSky to a consortium of investors in 2024, and Zalik left the company.
The Atlanta-based GreenSky has facilitated billions of dollars in loans for home improvement projects via a network of banks and thousands of contractors.
The business also helps with financing for doctor, dentist and veterinary visits.
Zalik immigrated to the U.S. from Israel at age four when his father, a mathematics professor, got a job at the University of Rhode Island.
About
Zalik started his first business at the age of 14, buying computer parts from distributors and assembling them himself.
Zalik didn't attend high school and never graduated from college.
