Biography

Fabrizio Di Amato is the founder and chairman of Rome, Italy-based Maire, a publicly traded engineering and renewable energy firm.

He founded Maire at age 19 in 1983 with only three employees and grew it through acquisitions including the purchases of Fiat Engineering in 2004 and Tecnimont in 2005.

Di Amato took the company public on the Milan stock exchange in 2007; he now owns 51% of the shares.

Maire operates more than 1,500 engineering plants in 45 countries around the world.
