Ge Weidong is the chairman and CEO of Shanghai-based Chaos Investment. The firm trades stocks, commodity futures and invests in Chinese startups.

Its best-known investment is an early bet in Chinese semiconductor firm MetaX Integrated Circuits, which went public in Shanghai in December 2025, raising $593 million.

MetaX's chairman and CEO Chen Weiliang also became a billionaire following the hotly anticipated IPO.
