Biography

Gideon Hamburger is the president of Harel Insurance, an Israeli insurance and financial services company.

He is one of three siblings - alongside Yair Hamburger and Nurit Manor - who control Harel through G.Y.N Consulting, the family's privately held company.

Harel, now one of Israel's biggest institutional financial firms, was founded in 1939 and has remained under family control.

Harel manages assets valued at NIS 571 billion ($176 billion) and operates across health, motor, life insurance, pensions and asset management.
