Biography
Gregg S. Hymowitz is chairman and CEO of EnTrust Global, an alternative asset management firm with $15.2B in assets under management.
He founded the firm in 1997, sold a majority stake to Legg Mason in 2016 and repurchased the entire interest from Franklin Templeton in 2020.
Hymowitz joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. In 1992 and became a vice president at the firm before leaving in 1997.
He graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1990, and received a BA, Phi Beta Kappa, from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1987.
Hymowitz most recently sold an additional minority stake in EnTrust to the Brunei Sovereign Wealth Fund, which now owns 20%.
About
Hymowitz endowed the Hymowitz Family Professorship of the Practice Fund (Duke Global Health Institute).
Hymowitz is a former board member of the Board of Trustees of Montefiore Medical Center and served two terms as a Trustee of the Riverdale Country Day School.
