Biography
Grigory Berezkin derives his fortune from Rusenergosbyt, a Russian energy trading company.
In 2006, Berezkin sold nearly half of Rusenergosbyt to Italy's energy conglomerate Enel for $105 million.
He got his start in the energy business in the 2000s; and controlled companies that supplied electricity to state-owned corporations Gazprom, Russian Railways and Transneft.
During the privatization of Russia in the 1990s, Berezkin purchased a mid-size oil company, which he later sold to Russian oil conglomerate Lukoil for $619 million.
