Hans Thomann

Hans Thomann is managing director of Thomann, one of Europe's largest music retailers with locations in Germany, France and Denmark, among others.

Thomann took over the business from his father, who started the company in 1954, and expanded it during the dot-com-era of the 1990s and 2000s.

Today Thommann employs more than 1,800 people who come from 55 countries.

The company is still headquartered in the small German town of Treppendorf.

The sole owner of the company, Thomann became involved in the business when he was 12 years of age.
