Biography
Ho Te Yu, along with his brother Chu Te Hsiang (Ho took their mother's surname), cofounded Lotes in 1986 as a maker of copper pins used in electronic connectors.
Three years later, it started producing electronic connectors, the essential nuts and bolts for all the electronic goods from cars to mobile devices to AI servers, and has become one of the world's largest manufacturers.
A breakthrough came in 2012 when it successfully developed cable products certified by Intel and Apple.
Today, Lotes' connectors are fitted in semiconductor chips produced by Intel and AMD.
