Biography
Husnu Ozyegin's Fiba Holding comprises investments in financial services while non-finance activities are under the roof of Fina Holding.
His Credit Europe Bank has more than $5.5 billion in assets and around 915,000 retail and corporate customers in nine countries.
In Turkey, Ozyegin operates under the brand name Fibabanka. Fiba has investments in retail, real estate, health, renewable energy, ports and hotels.
In 2019, Ozyegin handed the reins of Fiba Holding to his children. Son Murat Ozyegin became chairman and daughter Aysecan Ozyegin Oktay, vice-chair.
Husnu Ozyegin became honorary chairman of the group. He also serves as chairman of Fibabanka and Credit Europe Bank (Russia) Ltd.
About
While studying civil engineering at Oregon State University, Ozyegin delivered newspapers and worked as a waiter, among other jobs. He received his MBA from Harvard.
He devotes considerable time to Ozyegin University, which he founded in 2007. In 2017, his life story was published as a book titled "Building a World."
