Biography
Itamar Locks is the son-in-law of Lucia Maggi, who cofounded Andre Maggi Group with her late husband, Andre Maggi.
Amaggi is one of Brazil's largest producers of soybeans and other commodities.
Lucia Maggi cofounded the business with her husband in 1977 and took over as majority shareholder after he died in 2001.
After Andre Maggi died in 2001, his son Blairo Maggi took over as the chief executive of the company.
Locks is one of the controlling shareholders of Amaggi, along with Blairo Maggi, and Hugo de C. Ribeiro.
About
Locks previously served as the president of the agricultural division of Amaggi.
Amaggi produces approximately 1.2 million tons of soy, corn, and cotton in Brazil each year.
