Biography

Jean-Marc Chapus is a managing partner and cofounder of Crescent Capital Group, a Los Angeles-based debt-focused investment firm with $43 billion in assets under management.

He serves on the advisory board of the Milwaukee Brewers, where his Crescent cofounder Mark Attanasio is chairman and principal owner.

Chapus is reported to be a part of the ownership group of the Brewers.

Prior to cofounding Crescent Capital in 1991, Chapus worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert, a pioneer of junk-bond trading.

Chapus also worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in the early 1980s.

About

Chapus was a track star while he was a student at Harvard University and captain of the team his senior year.

Chapus has seven children, one of whom ran track at Stanford.
