Biography
Jerzy Starak is the owner of Polpharma, one of Poland's largest drug manufacturers.
Polpharma specializes in pharmaceuticals used in cardiology, neurology and gastroenterology.
Starak also founded and owns Polpharma Biologics, an arm of his company that focuses on developing biosimilar drugs.
A diversified investor, Starak also holds a stake in herbal product producer Herbapol.
Starak started out with chemical company Comindex in the 1970s.
