Biography

John Goff made a fortune selling Crescent Real Estate to Morgan Stanley for $6.5 billion in 2007, then bought it back at a big discount after the financial crisis.

He is an owner of Greystone Castle Sporting Club in Mingus, Texas, a 6,000-acre ranch where you can hunt exotic game and stay in a castle.

Goff spearheaded the creation of publicly traded oil company Crescent Energy by rolling up numerous smaller operators.

He owns the Canyon Ranch chain of wellness spas, which is building a new location in Austin, Texas with financing from hotel giant VICI.
