Biography

José Llorens Torra founded EPSA Internacional, a subcontractor for mining and public-use projects, which grew into the core of his family holding, Llotor S.L.

He owns 62% of Llotor, with his five children holding the rest; the group controls nearly 100 companies in dozens of countries, and has more than 2.2 billion euros in assets.

Llotor has a real estate portfolio worth 770 million euros, with properties in Spain, Florida, Georgia and Ireland.

Llorens is among Spain's largest landowners, with at least 3,000 hectares, and is one of the top private beneficiaries of EU agricultural subsidies.

His group is developing Casmar, a 1 billion-euro logistics megaproject in Seseña (Toledo), expected to create 12,000 jobs.
