Biography

In 1977, Kochouseph Chittilappilly borrowed $1,500 from his father to set up a small unit to make voltage stabilizers.

Over four decades he built it into Kochi-based V-Guard Industries. The company's portfolio now includes kitchen appliances, air coolers and solar water heaters.

Chittilappily expanded into amusement parks in 2000 with Wonderla Holidays.

These days, Chittilappily is busy with his property venture, Veegaland Developers and his charitable foundation.

His two sons run V-Guard and Wonderla.

He donated one of his kidneys to a poor truck driver.
