Biography
Siblings Kuldip Singh (left) and Gurbachan Singh Dhingra control Berger Paints India, the country's second-largest paint maker.
In 1991 they bought Berger Paints, then the country's smallest paint maker, from liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya.
Apart from India, Berger has a presence in Bangladesh, Nepal, Poland and Russia.
Two of their children sit on Berger's board and are being groomed to succeed.
About
The family's paint business goes back to their grandfather and great-grandfather, who started a paint shop in 1898 in Amritsar, Punjab.
They have a joint venture with Japan's Nippon Paint, a company controlled by Singapore billionaire Goh Cheng Liang.
