Biography
Liquor baron Lalit Khaitan is chairman of publicly traded spirits maker Radico Khaitan.
The Delhi-based company started off as a bottler before expanding into making bulk alcohol and eventually branded spirits.
Radico Khaitan has a range of brands including 8 M whisky, Contessa rum and Magic Moments vodka.
Khaitan inherited the liquor business from his later father G.N.Khaitan in 1995 after a family division.

Khaitan's son Abhishek runs Radico Khaitan as managing director.
The company used to be called Rampur Distillery and Chemical Company.
