Biography

Larry Fink is cofounder, chairman and CEO of powerhouse investment management firm BlackRock, one of the world's largest asset managers.

He and seven partners founded BlackRock in 1988. Originally it was part of The Blackstone Group.

BlackRock was spun off from Blackstone in 1994 and went public in 1999.

Today Blackrock has $14 trillion in assets under management.

Before starting BlackRock, Fink was a managing director at The First Boston Corporation.
