Biography

Laurans (Larry) Mendelson has been the CEO of Heico Corporation, an aerospace and electronics company, since 1990.

He and his sons, Victor and Eric, first purchased Heico stock after Victor identified a buyout opportunity in the late 1980s.

Larry was working in real estate before he put in an original $5 million stake into Heico with his sons.

His first job out of graduate school was at Arthur Anderson & Company where he worked for around six years.

Columbia University's Mendelson Center for Undergraduate Business Initiatives was established in 2016 with a gift from the Mendelson family.
