Lidiya Mikhailova & family

Lidiya Mikhailova and her sons control Cherkizovo Group, a meat producer founded by her ex-husband Igor Babaev.

In the 1980s, Babaev was elected as general director of the Cherkizovsky meat processing plant in Moscow.

He acquired all of the shares of the plant in the 1990s, during privatization, and started to buy other poultry and pig farms.

In 2005, the assets were merged into the Cherkizovo Group, which a year later went public on the London and Moscow stock exchanges.

Babaev gave all his shares to his sons, who manage the company. They own about 28% each; Lidiya owns about 15%.
