Biography

Lilian Teh Li Ming is the daughter of late banker Teh Hong Piow, who chaired Malaysian banking behemoth Public Bank for several decades

Teh Hong Piow founded the bank in 1966. He died in December 2022 at age 92.

In addition to Malaysia, the bank serves millions of customers across Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Teh had a substantial minority stake in the bank as well as in the listed insurance business, LPI Capital.
