Biography
Marcel Herrmann Telles is a co-founder and partner in private equity firm 3G Capital, best known for its investments in Anheuser-Busch InBev and Restaurant Brands International, parent of Burger King and Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons.
Telles' billionaire partners in 3G include fellow Brazilians Carlos Alberto Sicupira, Jorge Paulo Lemann and Alex Behring.
In December 2023, Telles gifted his stake in Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest brewer, to his son Max Van Hoegaerden Herrmann Telles.
3G sold its stake in U.S. condiment maker Kraft-Heinz in 2024 after 11 years.
In 2021, 3G acquired 75% of Dutch window shade company Hunter Douglas in a $7 billion transaction, and in 2025 paid almost $10 billion for U.S sneaker brand Skechers.
