Biography

Mark Leonard founded Canadian tech company Constellation Software in 1995.

Constellation Software, also known as CSI, acquires, manages and builds software businesses.

Leonard and members of his family own an estimated 7% of the company, which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

He was Constellation's president until stepping down in October 2025. He remains on the board.

After getting an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, Leonard worked in venture capital for 11 years.

According to Canada's Globe and Mail, Leonard worked "as a banker, valuator, mason, gravedigger, dog handler, bouncer, sapper, and wind energy researcher."
