Biography
Max Van Hoegaerden Herrmann Telles is the son of Marcel Hermann Telles, a founding partner in Brazilian investing firm 3G Capital.
3G is best known for its investments in Anheuser-Busch InBev and Restaurant Brands International, parent of Burger King and Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons.
Telles inherited shares in ABinBev through an inter vivos donation in 2024. His brother, Christian, also received an inheritance, but is not a billionaire.
Their father and his spouse, Bianka van Hoegaerden, divorced in 2009.
The brothers have been shareholders of São Carlos Empreendimentos e Participações since 2017.
