Biography
Mehmet Hattat's companies operate in manufacturing, mining, energy and real estate.
At a complex of 11 factories, Hattat make parts and components for autos, commercial vehicles and companies in the aviation and defense industries.
Hattat makes Massey Ferguson and Ferrari tractors for the foreign market, as well as tractors bearing the Hattat brand name.
Hattat is developing a project (hotel, shopping center, conference center and office space) on land he owns in the affluent Maslak area of Istanbul.
He plans on using coal from a mine he owns in Northern Turkey to fuel a nearby 1320 MW thermal power plant, in which he is an investor.
