Biography
Michael Ying is the former chairman of Hong Kong-listed fashion retailer Esprit.
He has kept a low profile and sold most of his stake in the company after stepping down in 2006.
In 2017 Ying transferred the rest of his Esprit shares to his daughters, who then sold all in 2021.
Ying joined Esprit in the 1970s and played a key role in building it into a global brand.
About
Ying's Yan Ai Foundation has been supporting education and health care for poor children on the mainland.
