Mimi Haas, the widow of former Levi Strauss & Co. CEO Peter Haas, owns a 16% stake in the storied jeans company.
In February 2019, Levi's filed to go public, revealing Mimi as the largest shareholder among several Haas family members.
Mimi Haas served as a board member at Levis Strauss from 2014 to 2018. Peter Haas Jr., Mimi's stepson, is currently a board member.
Altogether six members of the Haas family, which ranks as one of America's richest clans, own a combined 63% of Levi's.
Bavarian immigrant Levi Strauss founded the company in San Francisco in 1853; he invented denim blue jeans in 1873.
