Biography
Real estate tycoon Neil Bluhm is the owner of marquee Chicago properties like 900 North Michigan and the Ritz-Carlton Chicago.
Bluhm also owns several casinos in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Chicago and Schenectady, New York.
After attending law school and working as an attorney in Chicago, he cofounded JMB Realty in 1970.
Bluhm's online gaming outfit Rush Street Interactive went public in 2020 through a reverse merger with a blank check company.
Bluhm is a managing principal for Walton Street Capital and is a trustee of the Whitney Museum of American Art.
He owns a minority stake in the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox.
About
Bluhm has donated generously to Northwestern University, where he studied law, most recently pledging $45 million to Northwestern Medicine in February 2022.
A longtime Democratic donor, Bluhm gave nearly $500,000 to liberal PACs in 2024.
