Biography

Nicole Grogg-Hotzer is the daughter of Peter Grogg, founder of Swiss biochemical company Bachem Holding AG.

Peter Grogg, who died in 2025, started the business in 1971 and served as CEO until 2002, and chairman until 2012.

Grogg, along with her billionaire sister and mother, all serve on the board of the family's asset management firm Ingro Finanz AG.

Bachem AG develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients, including peptides, amino acid derivatives and other organic molecules.

The family controls about 58% of Bachem as well as shares in Swiss electrical engineering company Burkhalter Holding and chemical maker Dottikon.

In 1971, Grogg started Bachem with 50,000 Swiss Francs.
