Biography
Paulo Setubal Neto is a member of one of Brazil's oldest banking families.
He is the oldest son of Olavo Setubal, an industrialist, banker and politician, who was mayor of São Paulo, Brazil's largest city.
He inherited a nearly 2% stake in Itausa, the parent of Itau-Unibanco, Latin America's biggest private sector bank.
He owns more shares at Itausa, the bank's holding company, than any of his 7 siblings; he served on the Itausa board for decades.
His brother Roberto Egydio Setubal was president of Itau Unibanco from 1995 to 2017.
