Biography
Penny Pritzker is an investor and one of 11 billionaire heirs to the Pritzker fortune that stems from Hyatt hotels.
A key fundraiser for Presidents Obama and Biden, Pritzker was the U.S. Secretary of Commerce from 2013 to 2017.
Since re-entering the private sector, Pritzker has joined the boards of Microsoft and enterprise software startup Icertis.
Pritzker is the founder and chairman of PSP Partners, a private investment firm with ventures in real estate, hedge funds and startups.
She also cofounded property investment firm Artemis Real Estate Partners and previously served as chair of credit-reporting firm TransUnion.
About
Pritzker was the first U.S. commerce secretary to visit Myanmar.
Pritzker, who inherited a share of her family's fortune, started five companies and led dozens of businesses before joining Obama's cabinet.
