Biography

College dropout R.G. Chandramogan started a tiny venture in 1970 to make ice cream.

Today, his listed Hatsun Agro Product, which he chairs, is one of India's largest private dairy companies by sales.

Every day Hatsun gets milk directly from more than 500,000 farmers spread across 10,000 villages.

Hatsun also exports dairy ingredients to 42 countries.

His son, C.Sathyan, is the company's executive vice-chairman.
