Biography
Robert Bass and his brothers inherited $2.8 million each from their oil tycoon uncle Sid Richardson in 1959.
Robert has helped launch a half dozen investment shops including his Oak Hill Advisors.
Bass' private jet start-up Aerion collapsed in 2021 amid reported financial difficulties.
With his wife Anne, Bass has given at least $70 million to Duke and $55 million to Stanford.

Bass is lead investor in the private equity portfolio managed by Oak Hill Capital.
Bass sold the Plaza Hotel to Donald Trump in 1988 for $390 million.
