Biography
Robin Li is the cofounder, chairman and CEO of search engine operator Baidu, which is dual-listed on the Nasdaq and in Hong Kong.
The company counts online advertising as its bread-and-butter business. It is also expanding aggressively in AI.
Baidu in 2023 rolled out a chatbot rival to ChatGPT called Ernie.
It also operates driverless robotaxi services in mainland China, and secured trial permits for such services in Dubai and Hong Kong.
The company's semiconductor design unit, Kunlunxin, counts customers that include Chinese telecom giant China Mobile.
