Biography
Ryan Israel is the chief investment officer of Pershing Square Capital Management, the hedge fund founded by Bill Ackman in 2004.
Pershing Square has $16 billion in assets under management and was valued at $10.5 billion when outside investors bought 10% of the firm in June 2024.
A University of Pennsylvania graduate, Israel joined Pershing Square early in his career in 2009 following two years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
Ackman named Israel his CIO and eventual successor in 2022.
