Biography

Scott Crabill is a managing partner of software-focused private-equity firm Thoma Bravo, which ranks among the world's top buyout investors.

The firm, with assets of $181 billion, was formed in 2008, when Orlando Bravo and Carl Thoma split from partner Brian Cressey, who was focused on healthcare deals.

Crabill, who holds an MBA from Stanford, led the firm's first software investment, playing a key role in its evolution as a software buyout specialist

He joined Thoma Bravo in 2002, after stints at Summit Partners and Hewlett-Packard.

His family foundation supports healthcare, education housing and the arts in San Francisco and his childhood hometown of Springfield Ohio.
