Subbamma Jasti inherited the assets of her husband Subba Rao Jasti, who died in 2023.

The biggest chunk of her inheritance is derived from the sale of a substantial stake in listed Suven Pharmaceuticals in 2022 to global private equity firm Advent International.

Jasti's son Venkateswarlu Jasti cofounded Suven Pharmaceuticals in 1989.

The Hyderabad company was demerged in 2020 when Suven Life Sciences, which focuses on neuroscience therapies, was spun off and listed separately.
