Biography
Tatiana Volodina's fortune is derived from L'Etoile, a well-known perfume and cosmetics retail chain with 1,000 locations in 250 cities across Russia.
Volodina owns L'Etoile through Alkor, a holding company in which she has a controlling stake.
Alkor also owns Podruzhka, a smaller cosmetics chain.
L'Etoile and Podruzhka ( also know as "Girlfriend") saw combined sales of over $1 billion.
After earning a degree in economic cybernetics, Volodina worked for Shiseido and Estée Lauder Companies and helped build their businesses in Russia.
